Real Madrid Stars Eden Hazard Test Positive For COVID-19, Set To Miss Belgium’s Clash With England

Real Madrid star Eden Hazard looks set to miss Belgium’s forthcoming Nations League clash against England after testing positive for coronavirus.

The La Liga Champions, Real Madrid announced on Saturday that Eden Hazard, along with team mate Casemiro, had tested positive and both players will now undergo a period of self-isolation, missing Real’s trip to Valencia on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Infoexpert24 understands that Brazil’s Casemiro would be unlikely to be allowed to feature in World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay.

Neither player will feature in the side to take on Valencia on Sunday. Nor will they be able to join up with their respective national teams during the coming international window as both are required to go into isolation.

This marks another setback for the Former Chelsea Maestro, Hazard who missed the start of the season owing to a series of ankle injuries.

He only returned to the Madrid line-up for the Champions League meeting with Borussia Munchengladbach on 27 October.

Reacting to the news, Real Madrid boss Zidane said: “They’re both good. They’re obviously not happy about what has happened. But, mentally, they’re good.

Physically, they have a few things, but they’re well. I’ve exchanged messages with them and will talk with them again later. This can happen and we have to accept it. We have to adapt to the situation. It could be worse. Many people are having a tough time with this. But, it’s true that it’s concerning and it’s tough when you have a different training session like this.”

We wish both players quick recovery.
