The university has 10,888 students and 1,372 members and is organized into threefaculties: The Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The Archaeological Museum is also part of the university.

The university campus is in Ullandhaug in Stavanger and most of the housing andfaculties are also located here.
