BREAKING: NECO Releases 2021 SSCE Results, Blacklists Four Supervisors
NECO has released the results of the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examinations (External) and blacklisted four supervisors due to poor supervision.
The Registrar of NECO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, while releasing the results at its Headquarters in Minna, explained that a total of 47,916 candidates registered for the examinations.
According to him, the number of those that wrote English Language was 45,821 out of which 36,116 representing 78.82 percent scored credit and above.
Dantani revealed that a total of 45, 756 sat for Mathematics, out of which 35,706 representing 78.04 percent also scored credit and above.
The Chief Executive Officer of NECO stated that candidates who got five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics were 29,342, representing 62.59 percent, adding that 37,991 candidates, representing 81.04 percent got five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.
Dantani further disclosed that in the area of malpractices, the 4,454 candidates were caught as against 6,465 in the year 2020, which showed an appreciable decline in number of malpractices.
He explained that four supervisors were blacklisted for their involvement in malpractice saying, “one each from Niger and Borno, and two from Delta states were blacklisted due to poor supervision”.
