Champions League: Fan’s Reaction As Real Madrid Beat 10-Man Chelsea At Bernabeu

Chelsea fans are enraged as Real Madrid secured a 2-0 victory over the Blues in their Champions League quarter-final first leg at Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, with Marco Asensio doubling the lead in the 74th minute.
Chelsea were reduced to 10 men after Ben Chilwell received a red card in the 59th minute for his challenge on Rodrygo.
Real Madrid are now in a strong position to eliminate Chelsea from the final eight for the second season in a row.
The Blues had a chance to take the lead early on, but Real Madrid dominated possession throughout the match. While Chelsea posed a threat on the counter, they struggled to create clear chances.
Real Madrid had several opportunities to extend their lead but were denied by some excellent saves from Kepa Arrizabalaga and a goal-line clearance from Thiago Silva.
Asensio’s goal from outside the box sealed the victory for Real Madrid, leaving Chelsea with a difficult task in the second leg at Stamford Bridge next week.
Below are some of the reactions culled from Twitter by Infoexpert24:
That’s it, I can’t do this no more. I’m no longer a Chelsea fan! An absolutely disgraceful performance yet again! In all my years as a football fan I’ve never seen a team so terrible & pathetic. I’m becoming a Arsenal fan. They play real football. The bigger London club. Goodbye.

Absolute garbage from Kepa, but every single Chelsea player didn’t even see that corner coming in – too busy having a f*cking jolly stroll in the park. Unbelievably weak mentalities, completely switched off.

Seasons been a real painful one for Chelsea fans. Is what it is. Past the point of anger, just want the season to end tbh

What was the point of this Lampard appointment by Chelsea? He is a cliché machine with very little upstairs & his impact a lameduck interim manager while other managers are actively being interviewed was always going to be limited. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Since I started supporting Chelsea, we’ve NEVER had it this bad, NEVER!!!
11th on the league table.
Out of all cup competitions.
