Chelsea are reportedly considering letting go of up to 14 players during the summer transfer window as they seek to turn around their underwhelming 2022/23 campaign.

The Blues are currently facing a challenge to qualify for the Champions League and have struggled under Graham Potter following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.

Owner Todd Boehly has reportedly spent over £500 million on new signings since Roman Abramovich’s departure, with around £300 million spent on new signings in January alone.

Other players who may depart include Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell, Conor Gallagher, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziyech, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Chelsea’s owners are determined to avoid a scenario in which all players enter the final 12 months of their contracts, with Kovačić attracting interest from Manchester City.

The owners are also turning their attention to players who will have two years left on their deals at the end of the season, with Aubameyang and Azpilicueta expected to leave.

Colwill has impressed on loan at Brighton and could compete for a place on the left side of Chelsea’s central defence with Benoît Badiashile next season.

Koulibaly has started Chelsea’s last three games and may be needed over what could be a crucial period for Potter after Chelsea released a statement on Silva’s injury, which confirmed damage to his knee ligaments.
