Why EPL Could Stop Ronaldo from Wearing No 7 Shirt At Man Utd

English Premier League could stop Cristiano Ronaldo from wearing the number 7 shirt after his return to Man United.

Infoexpert24 reports that Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has suggested that Premier League rules could stop Cristiano Ronaldo from taking the number 7 shirt at the club.

Ferdinand admits that Edinson Cavani who currently wears the shirt is ready to give it up if the league approves.

However, it could be difficult, if United have already registered their squad numbers.

“Cavani, I have to say, what a man! He saw who was coming to town and gave up the No.7 shirt.”

At this point, Ferdinand started to backtrack, continuing: “Maybe? I don’t know! Does he do that or not?

“At the end of the day, you know what the problem might be is that the shirts have been registered, maybe. And that might be an issue. So he might not be able to be No.7 so we’ll see.”
