Piers Morgan React To Mess Winning the World Cup

The GOAT Debate in football continues as Ronaldo’s good friend, Piers Morgan speaks on the topic at the World Cup after Argentina vs Croatia World Cup match on Tuesday.

Despite Lionel Messi’s sublime efforts for Argentina, Piers Morgan insists Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest footballer of all time.

Messi rolled back the years and delivered a masterclass to help send Argentina to the World Cup final on Tuesday night, seeing of Croatia in style.

Many have suggested Messi’s heroics on the world’s biggest stage should cement his place as the greatest footballer in history, especially if he wins in Sunday’s final.

The final will be Messi’s second after losing the 2014 World Cup to Germany thanks to Mario Gotze’s 116th-minute winner. He will hope to win this time around.

Cristiano Ronaldo has never gone past the quarter-final stage of the World Cup and suffered another elimination at that stage after losing 1-0 to Morocco days ago.

This however does not change the hardened mind of Piers Morgan who still puts his friend ahead of everyone else and even failed to recognize the man who won three World Cup titles.

Cristiano Ronaldo granted an interview to Piers Morgan about his time at Manchester United which eventually led to the termination of his contract. The broadcaster who has always been vocal in support of the Portuguese became even more targeted with questions during this World Cup.

And following Messi’s display in the semi-final, former England international Gary Lineker asked on Twitter: “Is there still a debate? Asking for a goat.”

Morgan soon provided a response: “There isn’t. It’s Ronaldo.”

The part where Morgan’s opinion can be thrown into the bin is leaving out three times World Cup winner Pele, he didn’t even mention him.
