Barcelona 8-Man Transfer List

Barcelona reportedly have a list of eight players from Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG that they are planning to try and bring to the Nou Camp.

Infoexpert24 reports that Xavi’s side targeted players who were set to become free agents, meaning that they would only need to focus on wages in order to bring them to the Catalan club.

Barcelona’s struggling financial situation means that they are not going to be able to splash the cash at the end of the season, though they are keen to continue bringing players in on cut-price deals. Over the summer, they signed Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso on free transfers.

According to the rports,  Lionel Messi tops the list of eight players who are set to become free agents at the end of the season that they will attempt to sign.

Chelsea midfielders N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are both also of interest, though other top clubs are also keeping tabs on their situations and waiting to see whether Graham Potter pushes for their contracts to be renewed. One Premier League star who indefinitely will be leaving their club next summer is Youri Tielemans, who has refused to pen a new deal with Leicester City previously.

The Belgium international has attracted interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, though Barca are also set to compete for the 25-year-old’s signature. With Sergio Busquets leaving at the end of the season, recruiting at least one midfielder is a priority for Xavi.

Though despite the extended list of targets, Joan Laporta’s ‘dream’ remains to reunite with Messi. PSG are hopeful that the 35-year-old will pen an extension with the club and help them achieve their goal of lifting the Champions League. Messi is yet to decide where his future lies, wanting to keep his options open until after the World Cup.
