Similarly, he guided Real Madrid to La Liga and Copa del Rey glory during his three-year stint in the Spanish capital.
Given his history with both clubs, it is understandable why Mourinho has a soft spot for Real Madrid and hopes they will win their 15th Champions League title.
In fact, he even shared his friendship with Real manager Carlo Ancelotti after Roma secured their spot in the Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday night.
Speaking before the Champions League quarter-final draw, he said: “There is a club that is close to my heart and there is a manager who is my friend.
“Real Madrid are great and Carlo Ancelotti is great!
“Hopefully they will go on in this way to win the final.”

Inter Milan, another one of Jose Mourinho’s former teams, is also still in the Champions League and will be facing Benfica for a chance to advance to the last four.
Mourinho led Inter to victory in the European Cup in 2010, where they defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the final.
On the other hand, Mourinho’s relationship with Chelsea supporters has been strained after he took over as manager of Manchester United following his departure from Chelsea.
