Mane Suffers World Cup Injury Scare, 21 Minutes Into Bayern vs Werder Bremen Clash

Sadio Mane is a doubt for the World Cup after limping off injured playing for Bayern Munich in the game against Werder Bremen on Tuesday night.
The 30-year-old appeared to hurt his knee early in the match with just 15 minutes on the clock, and was assessed by medical staff before being replaced by Leroy Sane.
The injury scare comes just 13 days from Senegal’s first match against the Netherlands in Qatar .
Mane is Senegal’s record scorer with 34 goals.
The former Liverpool player sat down on the turf with an apparent problem during the first half.
He tried to continue after medical treatment but a decision was made for him to come off.
He was replaced with Leroy Sane. As he left the pitch Mane appeared to be limping.
Rather than take his place on the bench the 30-year-old immediately headed down the tunnel.
The extent of Mane’s injury is unclear at this early stage.
The sight will be hugely worrying for Senegal who are in Group A at the World Cup.
They start their campaign against the Netherlands on November 21.
Were Mane to miss the World Cup due to injury he would join a host of star names who won’t be taking part at the tournament.
Just for England, Reece James is a major doubt and Ben Chilwell, Kalvin Phillips and Emile Smith Rowe definitely aren’t going.
N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba miss out for France, While Timo Werner of Germany and Diogo Jota of Portugal are among those who are sidelined.
