Arsenal ace Jorginho aims subtle dig at Enzo Fernandez after Chelsea star stole his place.

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has subtly criticized Enzo Fernandez, his replacement at Chelsea, following Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over the Blues on Tuesday.

The Italian midfielder was signed by Arsenal on the last day of the January transfer window, almost being forced out of Stamford Bridge as Chelsea were finalizing a move for Fernandez.

The transfer fee of just under £107 million paid by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly set a British record.

Fernandez has since taken Jorginho’s position in the team, and the 31-year-old would have struggled for game time had he remained at Chelsea.

Jorginho joined Arsenal for £12m, and was handed his fifth league start since his arrival, and his first since March 1st, for the visit of his former club.

Arsenal secured a crucial three points against Frank Lampard’s side and returned to the top of the table.

Jorginho has since posted a series of images from the game on his Instagram page and story, captioning one: “We keep pushing until the very end. Thank you for the amazing support.”

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the third image showed Jorginho winning the ball and getting past Fernandez, leaving the Argentina World Cup winner on the floor.

Jorginho and Enzo Fernandez

One fan commented: “Look at Enzo man!” with two crying with laughter emojis, while another wrote: “Jorginho >>> Enzo.”

Jorginho has yet to comment on Chelsea’s decision to replace him with Fernandez, but this social media post is the first indication that he may be motivated to perform directly against him.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dropped Thomas Partey in order to reinstate Jorginho to the team on Tuesday, citing his leadership, intelligence, and ability to control the game.
