Latest Biafra and IPOB news today Thursday 11th November 2021 in Nigeria can be accessed below.
Infoexpert24 has compiled the latest Biafra news about IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafra groups such as the IPOB, MASSOB, BIM, and BNL.
Mondays sit-at-home remains canceled, arrest enforcers – IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has said its Monday’s sit-at-home order remains canceled.
IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, said anyone found to be enforcing the sit-at-home order across the Southeast is an agent of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Powerful urged people of the Southeast to go about their normal businesses, adding that anyone caught enforcing the order would be treated as an enemy of the region.
In a statement he issued on Thursday, Powerful said: “We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by our prophet and liberator Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to reiterate once again that IPOB has canceled the Monday sit-at-home order and anybody or group enforcing the relaxed order is neither from IPOB nor from IPOB volunteer groups.
“We are advising our people to ignore anybody enforcing non-existent Monday sit-at-home order and go about their normal business because such person(s) are working for our enemies and their intention is to blackmail IPOB and set the movement against the people but they won’t succeed. Anyone caught adding to the pain of our people in the name of enforcing Monday’s sit-at-home order will be treated as the enemy that he or she is.
“We, therefore, warn these agents of darkness using the name of IPOB to enforce a non-existent sit-at-home to desist because if we lay hold on them they will eternally regret their evil actions. Why should such unpatriotic elements be inflicting pain on our people and dragging our image to the mud? IPOB remains a non-violent movement and our peaceful approach for Biafra restoration has not changed.
“It will be recalled that IPOB leadership called for the Monday Sit-At-Home and the same IPOB leadership has canceled it. Nobody has the power to enforce the same suspended sit-at-home using the name of IPOB. Such a person is an impostor working for the killing squad of the Nigerian DSS and Nigerian security agencies and should be treated as such if apprehended. The only day sit-at-home will be observed in Biafra land is when our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is appearing in court, and we shall, as usual, make it public for all to know.”
Powerful urged community leaders, market leaders, Church leaders, and constituted authorities to arrest anyone enforcing the sit-at-home order.
“We hereby direct community leaders, market leaders, church leaders, and other institutions of authority in Biafra land to arrest any hoodlum trying to enforce any sit-at-home on Mondays and hand them over to IPOB. Such criminal elements must be treated in a language they understand,” the statement added.
IPOB had instituted the Monday sit-at-home order to prevail on the Nigerian Government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
However, the group had canceled the order ahead of the just concluded Anambra State governorship election, after it was hijacked by hoodlums.
Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer, Ejiofor Almost Lynched In Court
One of the lawyers representing Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Group of Biafra (IPOB), Ifeanyi Ejiofor has disclosed he was almost lynched in court.
He said it was members of his own team that threatened him with lynching.
Ejiofor made the disclosure on Thursday, explaining that the incident happened during one of the resumed trials of the IPOB leader before Justice Binta Nyako at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The lawyer also claimed the legal team of Kanu didn’t walk out on the Justice during Wednesday’s appearance but was denied access to the courtroom.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor
Infoexpert24 recalls before Justice Nyako adjourned Kanu’s trial till 2022, his lawyers had walked out of the courtroom. Kanu had also had a clash with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) inside the courtroom.
But Ejiofor on Thursday said the legal team didn’t walkout.
Asked to clarify his claims, Ejiofor during his appearance on Arise TV said their bags were still in the courtroom and they were trying to resolve why some members of the team were not allowed into the courtroom for the proceeding.
“There was no walkout in the court, what happened was that lawyers were denied access into the courtroom. It happened last adjourned date and we brought this to the attention of the court. We mentioned our frustration to the court,” he said.
“Not only lawyers, the media were not allowed to come in too. We were trying to solve it outside the court; I narrowly escaped being lynched by my colleague’s last adjourned date. So we were trying to resolve it because it is something we consider worrying. The courtroom is our jurisdiction, where we belong.”
On why his own people will want to lynch him, Ejiofor said: “Because I didn’t kind of [sic] protest on their behalf. And I told them I mentioned to the court what happened to them. So this time around, I said let me resolve it.
“All of us, we were at the door court, discussing it, trying to resolve this issue, and our bags were inside the courtroom. So, there was no walkout whatsoever.”
Meanwhile, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), has stated that the federal government is willing to negotiate with Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu.
Infoexpert24 reports that Igboho who leads Yoruba nation agitators and Kanu who leads the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have both called for the dissolution of Nigeria and the establishment of two break-away countries.
But the duo is currently in detention, with Nnamdi Kanu locked up in the detention of the Department of State Service (DSS), while Sunday Igboho is currently cooling off at a prison cell in the Benin Republic.
Rita Edochie: Fighting for Biafra a right, not a crime
Veteran actress Rita Edochie has reacted to the viral video of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in court.
There was a mild drama at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday as lawyers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu, were locked out of the courtroom
Justice Binta Nyako expressed displeasure at the lawyers’ decision to walk out before the proceedings began but the legal team said they were rather denied access.
They accused the judge of bias for conducting the proceedings without them and threatened to report Nigeria to the International Court of Justice in the Hague.
Kanu, who was brought into the courtroom around 9:52 am before the proceedings commenced a little after 10 am, complained that security agents denied some of his lawyers, particularly Bruce Fein, from the United States, access to the courtroom.
Kanu is being tried on charges related to treasonable felony and acts of terrorism brought against him by the federal government of Nigeria.

Rita Edochie

“IT IS WELL WITH YOU ONYE NDU ANYI MAZI NNAMDI OKWU KANU (our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu).
“FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM IS NEVER A CRIME.
“AKA CHUKWU OKIKE ABIAMA DI NA YA”, (God’s hand is in it).
