What Kylian Mbappe said after Christopher Nkunku lights up first Chelsea training session

France and PSG Superstar, Kylian Mbappe has reacted to his compatriot, Christopher Nkunku finally completing his first training session as a Chelsea player on Friday, leaving supporters thrilled.

Having fully recovered from the injury that kept him out of last year’s World Cup, Nkunku is eager to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge and has earned a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-season tour squad.

Nkunku, a 25-year-old forward showcased his scoring prowess last season, netting an impressive 23 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig.

Chelsea hopes that he can bring that clinical touch to the club, especially considering the challenges they faced in front of goal during the previous campaign.

While Christopher Nkunku will undoubtedly require some time to adapt to the demands of Premier League football, one person who exudes confidence in his success is his international teammate, Kylian Mbappe.

Chelsea has a busy schedule ahead, with five games lined up in America over the next three weeks. The club is determined to avoid a repeat of last year’s chaotic tour, which left the squad ill-prepared for a tumultuous season, much to the frustration of then-manager Thomas Tuchel.

Ahead of the tour, Pochettino is still hopeful that the future of several players considered surplus to requirements will be resolved.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Romelu Lukaku, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi have all attracted interest from Saudi Pro League clubs. However, none of these players are close to securing their exits as of yet.

On a positive note, Reece James is expected to be fit enough to participate in pre-season activities after undergoing a precautionary knee scan earlier this week.
