The UEFA Champions League draw takes place today as the qualified teams from the Premier League and others await their last-16 fate.

All four English teams are through, with Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham winning their respective groups, so earning a coveted seeding – while Liverpool finished as runners-up behind Napoli.

Manchester City remains the favorite to win the competition, though the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid could cause an upset for the Premier League champions.

Paris Saint-Germain must also be considered a threat, but also missed out on a seeding so will face a far tougher route through the knockout stage.

When is the Champions League draw?

The Champions League last-16 draw takes place today Monday, November 7, 2022, at 11am GMT.

UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland will host the ceremony.

Champions League draw seedings

The group winners will be seeded for the draw. Teams from the same nation and group cannot be drawn against each other.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are also still in the competition and fans will be eager to find out who their teams will be facing come when the fixtures are played in February next year.

The round of 16 draw will take place at the UEFA Headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland later today, with proceedings set to start at 11am (GMT). The draw will be available to watch on UEFA’s website

How does the Champions League draw work?

The eight group winners will be seeded and cannot face each other in the round of 16. The eight runners-up will be drawn against the group winners.

Teams from the same association cannot be drawn against each other and teams who were in the same group can’t play each other.

When is the Champions League round of 16?

The round of 16 fixtures will take place in February and March, with the first legs set for February 14, 15, 21 and 22.

The second legs will take place on March 7, 8, 14, and 15.
