Twitter Reacts As Manchester City Defeat Man Utd in FA Cup Final

Football fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts as Manchester City defeated Manchester United 2-1 in an intense FA Cup final at Wembley, adding another trophy to their collection.
In an eagerly awaited all-Manchester clash, City showcased their strength by securing a hard-fought win, setting the stage for their upcoming Champions League final against Inter.
The match began with an unexpected twist on the team sheets, as United surprisingly handed a debut to young midfielder ‘Casemino’ instead of a veteran Brazilian player with a strikingly similar name. Twitter users couldn’t help but notice the amusing graphic error.

The game wasted no time in delivering excitement as Ilkay Gundogan unleashed a thunderous volley from the centre spot just 12 seconds after kickoff, setting a new record for the fastest goal in FA Cup final history.
City’s momentum was briefly halted when Casemiro, a late replacement for Casemino, committed a high challenge on Manuel Akanji, leading to a VAR check and a controversial free-kick awarded to United.
VAR played its part once again as a handball incident involving Jack Grealish was scrutinized, eventually resulting in a penalty for United, coolly converted by Bruno Fernandes.

Despite United’s satisfaction heading into halftime, the second half began on a sour note as Gundogan struck again, this time with a less elegant but effective volley that found the bottom corner, leaving United fans frustrated.
Gundogan’s pursuit of a hat-trick was thwarted by an offside decision, and Alejandro Garnacho came close to scoring with a superb curling effort that narrowly missed the target.
In an attempt to overturn the result, United introduced Wout Weghorst off the bench, but the move was met with mixed reactions from supporters.
Late drama unfolded as Raphael Varane and Scott McTominay nearly salvaged an equalizer, only to be denied by the crossbar.

Ultimately, City held on to claim their second trophy of the season, leaving United’s efforts unrewarded.
Football enthusiasts took to Twitter to share their opinions on the thrilling encounte:
Manchester City put on one of their poorest performance this season (in the FA Cup final), but United couldn’t match their energy or even play a good game; Very disappointing. Congrats to Man City on winning the FA Cup, it was quite predictable though. Good luck in the UCL final.

We’re sick of your excuses. No clear strategy since SAF retired whatsoever. You need to stop talking and start delivering the last 10 years’ promises.

Very good progress this season. Heartbreaking end, but at the end of the day, it shows just how good this Man City team is. With a few shrewd acquisitions in the Summer, I feel we can compete at the highest level with ten Hag in charge

3rd in the league, Europa League quarter-finals, Carabao cup winners and a well fought FA Cup final. Not bad for the first season of a new project. Next year will be better.

Even if we lost 5,6,7 nil, we still love our team. It’s not our fault we have greedy owners. It’s not the players’ fault they don’t have the quality Man City players have. Our neighbours have more money and that’s ok for now. Bottom line is our love for our beloved@ManUtd is…

Manchester United cannot continue to suffer defeats in cup finals Simply because the owners cannot compete.Manchester United as a club has bled a lot of money to pay its players and invest in itself whereas the owners take money out.Sheik Jasim will bring Utd a lot of trophies.

Thing about Man City is, focus on containing Haaland, and De Bruyne will score, stop them both and you won’t have enough players to stop Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Grealish, Rodri or even Akanji from scoring! You can silence an individual but never the team! #FACupFinal pic.twitter.com/PYXlxVtw6T
