Trossard Makes Premier League History In Arsenal's Victory Over Fulham

Leandro Trossard made Premier League history on Sunday with a standout performance for Arsenal in their 3-0 win over Fulham.

The Belgian midfielder, who joined the Gunners from Brighton in January, provided three assists in the match, setting up goals for Gabriel, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard.

Trossard’s achievement is particularly noteworthy because he is the first player ever in the Premier League to provide three assists in the first half of a match away from home, according to Opta.

The entire Arsenal team played exceptionally well on Sunday, dominating Fulham in the first half and then cruising through the second half despite the home team’s efforts to rally.

The win puts Arsenal five points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table after 27 matches.

Under the leadership of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal has now won five Premier League games in a row, a welcome turnaround from a difficult period last month when they lost to Manchester City and Everton and drew with Brentford.

Fulham, meanwhile, stay in eighth place after a disappointing showing in the London derby against Arsenal, following a defeat to Brentford in their previous match.

‘I’m really happy with it, I always try and contribute goals or assists and help the team going forward,’ said the former Brighton man.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s hopes of a late charge for the Premier League title were dealt a blow as they were held to a goalless draw by Southampton at Old Trafford.

In a first-half incident, Casemiro was sent off, which will result in a four-match ban since it is his second league sending off of the season.
