Top 5 Songs From Burna Boy’s Sixth Album “Love, Damini”

You can find the Top 5 songs from Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini” below.
The album “Love, Damini” is a slapdash portrait of the Nigerian singer’s mind at the age of 31. Still, judging by how the album opens and closes (with the soothing voices of five-time Grammy winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo), one suspects that Burna Boy still has an eye on the gilded gramophone, in case the Recording Academy, which seems to define ‘world music’ with the likes of the legendary South African a capella group in mind, is watching.
The goal of Love, Damini, Burna Boy’s sixth album, and a follow-up to 2020’s Twice As Tall, is to create an air of a soft coming of age.
I understand that the new album has only been out for six days but I feel like I’ve had this album for a long time. I’ve played it, rinsed it, put it on repeat, had several favorite songs, and yeah, it’s kinda growing on me.
“Love, Damini” is his first album since the three-year run that led to his 2021 Grammy triumph. Burna Boy has really taken his time to work on this one, and anyone can feel it.
There’s still more to discover in this new one, for sure. But at the moment, these are the five songs I am feeling the most from the album.

Burna Boy’s Sixth Album “Love, Damini”
Below are the Top 5 songs from Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini”
1. For My Hand ft. Ed Sheeran
There’s a good reason why this quickly got the single treatment. Partly because it features Ed Sheeran, of course, but also because it’s a tune that no one can get out of their heads.
“For My Hand” is the ultimate love song and the performances from the two men were just exceptional.
2. Last Last
Hey, I know we’ve all heard this one and some of you might already be tired of “Last Last,” but let’s not forget how good a song this is.
“Last Last” is a deep song low-key. The kind of song that makes us feel lucky to have an artist like Burna Boy.
3. Cloak & Dagger ft. J Hus
Okay, maybe I’m a bit sentimental about this one because I’m a big J Hus fan. But still, this is quite a banger, you can’t deny it.
“Cloak & Dagger” is the only song on the album with rap, and it stands out honestly. He should probably make a video for it.
4. Science
I like this one because it has the feel of another Burna Boy song from back in the day that I like, “Jealousy.”
“Science” is that raw Burna Boy, with no Grammy on the line, with no thoughts about the Billboard, just Burna being himself.
5. Common Person
There are not a lot of artists who could write songs from multiple perspectives in our industry. But Burna Boy is luckily one of them.
“Common Person” is a song about the common person, the everyday person who listens to Burna Boy. It’s about all of us. That’s why Burna Boy will always be one of the best songwriters in this industry.
