“I Can Never Forgive Fans That Praised Me For My Debut Song, Hi” – Tonto Dikeh

Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram account to run back on memory lane as she recalls a time in her career when she almost switched to music.
In her Instagram post, the mother of one had mocked herself for singing with a voice that’s not so thrilling to the ears. She joked about not forgiving her fans and loved ones who kept on hailing her when she released her debut single, titled, “Hi”.
Tonto Dikeh got signed into Dbanj’s DB record label under which she released “Hi” and “Itz Ova“. Both songs, however, received mixed reactions from her fans.

Fast forward to today, the actress had gone down memory lane to recall this past event in her life. As she further reveals not to forgive those fans that urged her to keep singing, including her son, King Andrew.
“Even my own flesh and blood @kingandre is running from my singing voice… it is finished”.

It is now glaring that most Nigerians who do well (or not) in their chosen field, find the music industry a convenient vacation chalet or an adventure forecourt to exhibit whatever is left of them.
Regrettably, our dear Tonto who it appears does not have the slightest idea of the above ‘sine qua non’, decided (or was deceived) to record not just a song but two back then. For the love of God, must the whole world sing?
The tracks, “Itz ova” and “High” are anything but good tunes. I guess it was all fun for Tonto back in the days.
