Russell Westbrook Set To Join LeBron James At LA Lakers In Blockbuster Deal

The NBA’s triple-double machine, Russell Westbrook would team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Los Angeles.
Infoexpert24 reports that the Los Angeles Lakers are wasting no time making changes after a disappointing first-round cameo in the 2021 playoffs.
The report said the Lakers had the 22nd overall pick in Thursday’s draft and selected Jackson, a 6ft 1111 forward from Kentucky but later traded him to the Indiana Pacers in exchange for the 31st pick and point guard Aaron Holiday, who is the brother of NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks, Jrue.
Infoexpert24 understands that the deal is expected to be officially announced on 6 August, when the salary cap becomes official and teams can also begin making moves for the upcoming season. The Lakers will also receive second-round picks from the Wizards in 2024 and 2028.
This is the second time in three years that the Lakers have made a significant offseason trade. They acquired Anthony Davis from New Orleans in 2019 for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round draft pick.
Russell Westbrook is the league’s career leader in triple-doubles with 184 and gives the Lakers another playmaker to pair LeBron James and Davis.
The reason for adding
Russell Westbrook is clear: The Lakers are doing whatever they can, within the constraints of the salary cap, to give LeBron as many swings at the championship plate as possible.
Infoexpert24 understands that with LeBron entering the 19th season, he’s running out of time to get the fifth ring. And Westbrook is running out of teams.
