Prince Harry rushing to UK today following King Charles’ Cancer diagnosis
Prince Harry has hastily departed for London in response to news of King Charles’ cancer diagnosis according to emerging reports.
The Duke of Sussex, aged 39, is said to have already embarked from LAX airport in Los Angeles, aiming to be at his father’s side during this critical time according to images obtained by The Sun.
In the meantime, Meghan Markle remains in Montecito, California, with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
A luxury Range Rover, purportedly part of Harry’s entourage, was seen arriving at LAX’s VIP terminal on Monday night.
It’s reported that Harry will touch down in London around midday local time.
From there, he’s expected to be whisked away to see his father, who is beginning outpatient cancer treatment.
Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles for seven years when he was the Prince of Wales, exclusively told The Post that Harry’s no doubt feeling “worried” about his father’s ailing health.
“Harry will be worried about Charles, which is why I think he’s coming back to the UK to show support,” Harrold told us.
“I think it’s a really good thing that he’s coming back, it’s good that he’s showing support for his father and, who knows, this might make amends possibly.”
Charles is believed to be resting at Clarence House today, with Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi seen leaving this morning, according toDaily Mail.
It is not known where Harry will be staying during his time in the UK, as he no longer has an official royal residence on that side of the pond.
It is understood that flood warnings in California had previously delayed Harry’s travel plans.
The father of two now travels with his own security team, after his father famously stripped the Sussexes of their right to tax-funded police protection after they quit royal life in 2020.
The duke has been trying to win back UK security protection for his family ever since.
Harry was set to jet off to Canada with Markle next week ahead of the Invictus Games training camp.
It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes will go ahead with the trip, or pull the plug on it altogether.
Kate Middleton road to recovery
Meanwhile, the royal family is still dealing with other health woes relating to Kate Middleton, who is still recovering from her abdominal surgery that took place last month.
The Princess of Wales will not be carrying out any royal engagements until after Easter.
To that end, Prince William announced his return to public engagements, revealing he will be stepping up on Wednesday as both his father and wife are out of action for the time being.
Charles, who called Harry personally to deliver the news, revealed his cancer diagnosis to the world on Monday, which came less than 15 months after ascending to the throne.
Officials did not disclose with which specific form of cancer Charles was diagnosed, but Buckingham Palace clarified it is not prostate cancer, according to the BBC.
The shocking development comes just a week after the 75-year-old king was discharged from the hospital following treatment for an enlarged prostate.
