Fans Should Stop Telling Celebs How To Behave – Nollywood Actress Joke Silva
Nollywood actress Joke Silva has called on fans to stop dictating to celebs how to act and live their lives.
In a recent interview, the veteran actress said, “It is very important for one to stay true to who one is. I, sometimes, see a tendency for fans to dictate how one should behave.
I don’t think that helps in anybody’s career, especially as an actor or a creative person. One needs to be oneself in order to interpret whatever is going on around one. That would affect how one tells one’s story as a storyteller.”
The veteran actress who has stared in many Nollywood movies also shared tips on how to become a ‘trans-generational’ actor. She added, “One needs to be curious about one’s space, where one is in the world, the world around one and the characters one plays. That is very important.
“One also needs to be respectful to everybody one works with. Show everybody respect. It does not matter how old they are or how long they have been in the industry. Show them respect as long as they deserve it.”
