Nigerians React As Atiku Abubakar Deletes Twitter, Facebook Posts On Deborah’s Killing After Fanatics Threatened His 2023 Ambition

Nigerians on social media have reacted as PDP presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar deleted a post he made on his Facebook and Twitter pages about the gruesome murder of Debora Samuel after coming under threats from fanatics of northern origin.
Infoexpert24 reports that the former Nigerian vice president’s posts around 10:20 p.m. Thursday were deleted less than an hour later. Both had garnered thousands of reactions within minutes.
Most of the comments were from fundamentalists who warned the politician to stay away from condemning the murder of the Christian student.
Atiku Abubar’s tweet read:
“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice,” Mr Atiku said. “My condolences to her family and friends.”
Following the deleted tweet, Nigerians are of the opinion that Atiku was not really sympathetic, he only tried to appease the South but when he saw the reactions from them, he quickly deleted the tweet.
Below are some of the reactions culled from twitter by Infoexpert24:
Atiku was not really sympathetic
Tried to appease the South, saw reaction from the North, deleted
He feels it’s better not to offend the North than offend the South because Southerners are slaves and will vote for him anyways
Our Politicians are the wickedest people on earth

Presidential candidate, @atiku deleted his post on the gruesome murder of Deborah and he wants to be president of Nigeria… A man that cannot boldly stand on his words is not fit to be president.
These barbarians are blackmailers all in the name of religion.— Paul Anthony (@IamPaulOlomo) May 13, 2022
The Atiku deleted tweet is a symptom of how divided the country is….
It is also the reason why there is a strong demand for rotational presidency….
Rotation is not a party issue. It is a national issue….

People of Sokoto threatened Atiku with 1 million votes and he deleted the tweet in which he condemned the killing of Deborah Yakubu. I really don’t know much but I feel there are some forces bigger than Atiku in the northern states.

Atiku deleted his post condemning Deborah’s killing after his presidential ambition was threatened while PMB,Osibajo, BAT , Tanbuwal et al other silent cos they don’t want to offend that voting bloc. We have cowards and onlookers as leaders in this country

There’s absolutely no way you support Atiku after he deleted that tweet, unless you’re just a power-hungry coward like he is.

Atiku Abubakar basically wanted to play politics with a death of person killed by religious mob, when same people come for him, he deleted his condemnation of their acts, people that in the first place will not vote for him. This man should not be president.

Atiku Abubakar deleted his tweet condemning the murder of Deborah In sokoto because Muslims are threatening not to vote for him. His ambition is more important than human life. A vote for Atiku is a vote for islamists. But a vote for Peter Obi is a vote for humanists.

Atiku deleted his Twitter post so as not to offend the “Owners of Nigeria”. His presidential ambition is more important to him than the life of an innocent woman. @OfficialPDPNig should think hard before giving their flag to a coward

This @atiku is going to be worse than Buhari..Atiku actually deleted that tweet on Deborah because his Northern blood thirsty mofos threatened not to vote him, man can sell this country for votes..
Atiku Abubakar @atiku should NEVER be allowed to be president of this country— alex ogaga (@twitlayzie285) May 12, 2022
This is why we don’t want a repeat come 2023. We have to stop Atiku Abubakar by making sure he didn’t get the nod to be pdp presidential flag bearer. He cowardly deleted his condemnation post about the gruesome murder of Deborah,he will do worse things if given the power@2023

…They threatened that they won’t vote for him because he spoke up again evil.
And what did Atiku do?
He deleted the tweet almost immediately.
Because nothing must dent his political ambition.
Because his ambition is worth more than the blood of an innocent citizen…— Bongkito (@Richie_Henshaw) May 13, 2022
