Nigerians React As Atiku Abubakar Deletes Twitter, Facebook Posts On Deborah’s Killing After Fanatics Threatened His 2023 Ambition

Atiku deleted tweet on Deborah's killing

Nigerians on social media have reacted as PDP presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar deleted a post he made on his Facebook and Twitter pages about the gruesome murder of Debora Samuel after coming under threats from fanatics of northern origin.

Infoexpert24 reports that the former Nigerian vice president’s posts around 10:20 p.m. Thursday were deleted less than an hour later. Both had garnered thousands of reactions within minutes.

Most of the comments were from fundamentalists who warned the politician to stay away from condemning the murder of the Christian student.

Atiku Abubar’s tweet read:

“There can not be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice,” Mr Atiku said. “My condolences to her family and friends.”

Following the deleted tweet,  Nigerians are of the opinion that Atiku was not really sympathetic, he only tried to appease the South but when he saw the reactions from them, he quickly deleted the tweet.
