1. IPOB Has A Huge Collection Of Bombs All Over Nigeria – Presidency

The presidency on Wednesday maintained its stand that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a terrorist organization.

The presidency accused IPOB of having weapons and bombs in mass.

The presidency in a statement signed by Garba Shehu accused IPOB of being responsible for various attacks in the southeast including the killing of police officers and the destruction of many public and private buildings.

2. President Buhari Sacks Two Ministers, Appoints New Ones

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sacked two of his Ministers and also announced their replacement.

The sacked were the Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Sabo Nanono, and the Minister of Power, Mr. Saleh Mamman.

They were replaced by Mohammed Abubakar and Mr. Abubakar Aliyu respectively. The development was confirmed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.

Zamfara state Governor Matawall has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in all 14 local government areas in the state.

7. IPOB: You Have No Right To Operate In Nigeria – Presidency Tells Amnesty International

The presidency has accused Amnesty International of taking sides with terrorists and attempting to paint the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in bad light before western countries and the international community at large.

The presidency accused the international human rights group of blindly defending Nnamdi Kanu and his proscribed IPOB group.

In a statement on Wednesday signed by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, the presidency told Amnesty International that it has no legal right to be operating in Nigeria, adding that the organization has lost neutrality in its operations.

Embattled PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus has been suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward 5 in Ikuru town, Andoni LGA of Rivers State.

Secondus suspension was announced on Wednesday by the Ward Chairman of the Party, George Christopher, during the extraordinary meeting at the party’s Secretariat at Ikuru town, Andoni.

According to Christopher, eleven out of the 17 executive members endorsed Secondus suspension from the party.
