4. Operatives of the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 30 suspected cyber fraudsters in a sting operation at the Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete. EFCC Head, Media, and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, revealed this in a statement on Monday, adding that the action followed weeks of surveillance on the suspects.

5. Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 45-year-old man, Olaoluwa Jimoh, for allegedly impregnating his biological daughter. The suspect was arrested last Thursday following a complaint by the victim that her father was fond of sleeping with her, adding that he later got her pregnant. The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

6. Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemates Pere, Whitemoney, Angel, Nini, Saga, and Queen are up for the final possible eviction for the season. This was announced by Big Brother on Monday, day 58 of the show and the beginning of the penultimate final week.

7. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on Monday said that the total revenue generated from the sale of petroleum products for the period of May 2020 to May 2021 stood at N2.35tn. A statement by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the Corporation, Garba-Deen Muhammad, said the figures were contained in the May 2021 edition of the NNPC Monthly Financial and Operations Report.

8. Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of sending the wrong signals with the constant photoshoot with politicians who defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obi said such photoshoots have done nothing to boost the image of the country or to encourage those that have been patriotic and flying the nation’s flag high with credible achievements. He added that the international community will be getting the wrong picture about our national values if the President continues to take such pictures with politicians.

The Special Adviser to the President on infrastructure, Ahmed Zakari, disclosed this at a stakeholders’ engagement meeting, organized by the Nigerian Electricity Commission (NERC) in Lagos.
