Manchester United Suffers Triple Injury Blow Ahead of Leeds Clash On Sunday

Manchester United have suffered a triple injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash with Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

Only four days after playing out a topsy-turvy 2-2 draw at Old Trafford, Leeds takes on Erik ten Hag’s side at Elland Road.

Wednesday’s four-goal draw helped United consolidate their Champions League aspirations, while it saw managerless Leeds rise two places and a point clear of the relegation zone.

Leeds’ interim boss Michael Skubala will remain in charge for Sunday’s game and attempt to end a winless run of eight successive Premier League games.

And a win against Ten Hag’s men is not beyond the realms of possibility. The Old Trafford club have claimed just one win from their last four in the Premier League and have gone five league games without keeping a clean sheet.

Furthermore, United go into the game seriously depleted.

Ten Hag rules out three United players

Ten Hag ruled out Antony, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay for Sunday’s trip to Leeds.

Ten Hag added he does not expect the trio to be available for the club’s Europa League play-off leg against Barcelona next Thursday.

Speaking in his press conference Ten Hag said: “I don’t expect [that Antony, Martial and McTominay will be available], but we have some days — I don’t expect it and if I can oversee it until now I don’t see any new problems coming up.

“Barcelona? I think the same answer. I can’t say for 100 percent but I don’t expect it.”

Martial has suffered a hip injury while Antony picked up a leg problem in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile, McTominay has been absent for the last three games with an unspecified injury.

Elsewhere, Casemiro remains suspended for the Premier League clash while Christian Eriksen is sidelined until late April with an ankle injury. Donny van de Beek is out for the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury.
