Manchester United Suffer Double Injury Blow Ahead of Arsenal Clash Today

Manchester United have been dealt a blow ahead of their Premier League fixture against Arsenal today.
Manchester United will be without Anthony Martial and Diogo Dalot for their trip to Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Erik ten Hag has been hit with a number of availability issues before the game, with Casemiro suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
The Dutchman will have to find a replacement for the Brazilian, with Scott McTominay, Fred and Lisandro Martinez candidates to fulfil the 30-year-old’s crucial role in the United side.
They will also be without midfielder Donny van de Beek for the long-term, with the Netherlands international set to miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

There were hopes that two injured stars would be available in time for the trip to the Emirates Stadium, however, but both players have seemingly failed to recover.

According to Manchester Evening News, neither Diogo Dalot nor Anthony Martial were seen with the travelling squad as they arrived in London.
Martial missed the 1-1 draw at Palace after suffering injury during the Manchester derby last weekend, while Dalot was forced off in the first half of United’s 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Charlton on January 10.
In an unusual occurrence, Ten Hag held his pre-match press conference for Arsenal immediately after the Palace game on Wednesday, and was unsure whether either player would be fit in time for Sunday.
He stated: “No [I don’t know], but of course, it is Wednesday and we have to see if they are fit for a game Sunday.”

In Dalot’s absence, Aaron Wan-Bissaka will likely start at right-back, with the United defender producing a potentially goal-saving tackle to deny Wilfried Zaha from giving Palace victory on Wednesday.
And Wout Weghorst could be handed his second consecutive start after signing on loan from Burnley, although Marcus Rashford could play centrally instead.
Jadon Sancho, meanwhile, will be unavailable for the game, with Ten Hag stating that the England international was not yet ready to return to action following an absence of nearly two months.
