Manchester United Star Set To Leave Old Trafford Despite Varane's Praise

According to a recent report, Manchester United‘s Facundo Pellistri is reportedly set to leave Old Trafford on loan next season.

The 21-year-old winger joined the club in 2020 but has had to wait patiently for first-team opportunities and has yet to make a single start for United.

However, Pellistri has made an impact in his six substitute appearances since the turn of the year, most notably in setting up a goal against Real Betis.

Despite his recent upturn in form, it appears that United are planning to let Pellistri and fellow youngster Anthony Elanga head out on loan next season rather than sell Pellistri, who was signed for £9 million from Penarol in 2020.

The loan move will determine whether Pellistri has a long-term future at the club, but it would mean leaving just as his United career was gaining momentum.

Centre-back Raphael Varane has praised Pellistri’s talent and said that United need players like him and teenage winger Alejandro Garnacho to make a difference and change games.
