Man Utd Star’s Transfer Decision Leaves Ten Hag Frustrated and What Fabrizio Romano Said

Manchester United‘s Anthony Martial has made a pivotal transfer decision that leaves manager Erik ten Hag frustrated.
The 28-year-old forward currently sought after by clubs in the Saudi Pro League is leaning towards staying at Old Trafford until summer and then securing a move to a European club as a free agent.
Martial, who last played in the Premier League on December 9 has chosen not to extend his contract with Manchester United, setting the stage for him to become a free agent in July.
While the Red Devils aim to offload him in the January window to alleviate wage pressures and potentially earn a modest transfer fee for the player they acquired for €60 million in 2015, Martial seems determined to bide his time and make a free transfer move in the summer.

CaughtOffside has reported that various Saudi Pro League clubs are considering a move for the French attacker. However, Martial’s preference is to remain in Europe, prompting him to reject January offers and wait until July for a potential move.
Rumors are circulating that Inter Milan and Fenerbahce could enter the race for Martial’s signature if he becomes available on a free transfer.
Additionally, David Moyes’ West Ham United might extend a Premier League stay offer to the forward as they seek a long-term successor to Michail Antonio.
What has Fabrizio Romano said about Anthony Martial’s Man Utd transfer decision
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also weighed in on Martial’s situation at Old Trafford. He recently admitted: “Man United are looking at opportunities but nothing is imminent also in this case.
“Man United had multiple conversations with the agents of strikers around Europe, but still nothing concrete.
“Also because Anthony Martial is still not convinced by the options he received so far and so he could end up staying at Old Trafford until June.”

Erik ten Hag’s hopes of landing a new striker in January could take a huge hit if Martial does end up staying. The Red Devils aren’t flush with cash as things stand and may have to take to the loan market in order to land a number nine if Martial snubs transfer interest.
The Frenchman has made 317 appearances for Man Utd since joining from Monaco, scoring 90 goals.
As Martial’s transfer saga unfolds, it adds an unexpected layer to Manchester United’s January dealings.
