Man Utd Set Price For Jadon Sancho Transfer Exit As Tottenham Plot Swoop

Manchester United is reportedly demanding a fee of close to £60 million for the potential sale of Jadon Sancho in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The England international has faced difficulties since his move from Borussia Dortmund two years ago, and with Erik ten Hag yet to be convinced of his abilities, the 23-year-old could be shown the exit door.

Tottenham Hotspur has emerged as an interested party, contemplating a £50 million bid for the talented winger.

Sancho faced a challenging season at Manchester United, registering only 10 goal involvements from 41 games and spending four months on the sidelines.

As per The Mirror, Tottenham is now considering a swoop for the 23-year-old as they prepare for the summer transfer window.

Upon his return from the spell on the fringes, Sancho failed to reach the heights that many had expected, struggling in last weekend’s FA Cup final defeat against Manchester City.

The report also states that rival clubs are closely monitoring Sancho’s situation, with uncertainty surrounding his future at Old Trafford. Tottenham, led by new manager Ange Postecoglou, has expressed admiration for the England international.

In addition to their interest in Sancho, Tottenham is reportedly in talks with Leicester City over a deal for James Maddison.

The London club is willing to pay a fee of £40 million to secure the services of the playmaker, who is likely to be part of an exodus from the King Power Stadium.

However, while Tottenham values Sancho at around £50 million, they may need to increase their bid to tempt Manchester United into a sale.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, during his tenure as Red Devils manager, authorized a massive £73 million transfer for the winger two years ago. Therefore, United is seeking a figure close to £60 million to entertain the idea of his departure at this stage.

While Tottenham shows interest, Sancho’s former club, Borussia Dortmund, is also monitoring his situation. However, the Bundesliga giants are only considering a loan deal if the England forward were to return to Germany.

Should Tottenham proceed with their pursuit of Sancho, it will be intriguing to see how it impacts the future of Harry Kane.

Manchester United could potentially offer cash plus Sancho in exchange for the prolific English striker. However, Tottenham would prefer to sell Kane to an overseas club, with Real Madrid also expressing interest.

Manchester United has had a strained relationship with Tottenham in recent years, failing to secure the signings of several players from the London club since Dimitar Berbatov in 2008.

The likes of Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Toby Alderweireld, and Eric Dier have all been denied moves to Old Trafford.

As United keeps a close eye on alternative options to Kane, Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund are two players under consideration.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag recently expressed his determination to strengthen his squad and fight for his ideas ahead of the upcoming season.

The 53-year-old manager is focused on improving the club and team, collaborating with the club’s hierarchy to achieve their goals.

Tottenham is also targeting Mason Mount and Jeremie Frimpong as potential additions to their squad.
