Man United Want To Include Maguire As Part of Offer To Chelsea For Mount
Manchester United is reportedly exploring the possibility of including Harry Maguire as part of their package to secure Mason Mount from Chelsea, according to recent reports.
The Red Devils have intensified their interest in the talented midfielder and are believed to have already reached an agreement on personal terms.
Chelsea reluctantly acknowledging the need to cash in on their academy graduate as his contract expires next year, has set a valuation of approximately £70 million, despite Mount having only one year left on his current deal.
This significant price tag has prompted Manchester United to seek alternative approaches.

As negotiations between the two clubs struggle to find common ground, The Sun has reported that Manchester United might propose using Harry Maguire, who is surplus to requirements, as a makeweight in the deal.
Since Erik ten Hag took charge, the 30-year-old defender has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, making just eight Premier League starts.
Manchester United is reportedly eager to offload Maguire and is willing to subsidize a portion of his wages, with a potential cost of up to £10 million in order to facilitate his departure.
Despite his underwhelming performances, Maguire is still valued at approximately £30 million by Manchester United, who signed him for a record-breaking fee of £80 million from Leicester City four years ago.
This could lead Manchester United to propose a player-plus-cash deal, where they offer an upfront payment of around £40 million along with Maguire in exchange for Mason Mount, who is an England international and highly rated midfielder.

While Chelsea’s interest in such a deal remains uncertain, the club is actively looking to strengthen its defense, even though they already have left-sided center-back options in Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill.
Interestingly, Manchester United’s new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, has expressed admiration for Maguire in the past and attempted to sign him during his time at Hull City.
However, the deal was vetoed by Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy, and Maguire subsequently joined Leicester City.

Erik ten Hag recently stated that Maguire “has a decision to make” regarding his future, and the two are expected to hold discussions after the FA Cup final.
In addition to a potential offer to Chelsea, Manchester United may also consider including Maguire in a deal with West Ham United for Declan Rice.
The club is open to including fringe players in their negotiations for transfer targets. Players like Scott McTominay, Brandon Williams, Anthony Elanga, and Fred, who is reportedly targeted by Fulham, could be part of such deals.
