Man United Star Mason Greenwood ‘To Become A Father’ For The First Time 

Greenwood was first arrested after police swooped on his mansion in January last year. He had been due to stand trial accused of attempted rape, assault and coercive control. But police confirmed on February 2 that the CPS had dropped all charges against him.

The Premier League star later broke his silence on the case, saying “I am relieved that this matter is now over and I would like to thank my family, loved ones and friends for their support.

“There will be no further comment at this time.”

The 21-year-old was arrested in January 2022 after a woman made claims on social media. Three weeks ago he was cleared of any wrongdoing.

He remains suspended by the club but gets his £75,000-a-week salary. He is contracted until 2025.

The striker wants to return to the first-team squad as soon as possible.

However, it is understood some female players would be deeply concerned if senior club officials allowed Greenwood to return.

Natalie Burrell, founder of United Women’s Supporters’ Club, has said she never wants to see Greenwood in a red shirt again.

She said “United need to make a statement and letting him back would be the worst thing they could do.

“I don’t want to see him training, in a kit, or coming out at Old Trafford again. And I’m confident they won’t (let him).”
