The French star is currently plying his trade in the Serie A with reigning Italian champions AC Milan and the 36-year-old has been in rejuvenated form since moving to AC Milan in the summer of 2021.
The striker has continued to defy expectations, having already netted nine goals in his 19 Serie A matches this term.
Meanwhile, at the international level, Giroud surpassed Thierry Henry to become France’s highest-ever scorer at the World Cup in Qatar.

Nevertheless, the forward is out of contract at the end of the season and the Serie A giants are yet to have offered a new deal.
Milan’s loss could be United’s gain. Erik ten Hag’s side have been keen on signing a striker since the acrimonious departure of Cristiano Ronaldo on the eve of the World Cup.
However, the Old Trafford club’s transfer plans appear to have been affected by the Glazer’s attempts to sell the club as well as last summer’s eye-watering £227million transfer spend.
According to French outletFoot Mercato, United have enquired about Giroud’s availability. However, a prospective deal has not yet progressed given the Premier League giants reportedly want to tie the player down to a loan.
Meanwhile, The Times also claims the Frenchman is a target, with Milan unlikely to offer the player fresh terms.
The publication added that Giroud would reportedly consider a return to England if United offered a contract longer than the 12-month deal Milan would likely present him with.
Giroud spent nine years in the Premier League, with six of them at the Emirates Stadium with Arsenal netting 105 times in all competitions. He later moved to Stamford Bridge with Chelsea before sealing a free transfer move to AC Milan in the summer of 2021.
He then joined rivals Chelsea, and in his three years there he claimed three trophies, including the Champions League in 2021.
Elsewhere, United have also been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, former player Memphis Depay, now of Barcelona, and Giroud’s international teammate Marcus Thuram as the club look to resolve their striker woes.
