Shocker. Doesn’t look anyway near as bad or long when it isn’t in slow motion. This has to be appealed.

Nah the more I see it the more that red pisses me off

Now tell me how this is a red card, poor officiating from VAR and the ref.

He’s also being shoved/pushed by the fact that Ayew slapped and strangled Fred. You can clearly see AWB behind and everybody else being pushed. @premierleague show some backbone for once. How is that a red. Disgrace. This ref should be sent straight to championship next games.

Definitely looks like he’s trying to calm him down more than anything but in slow motion looks bad

Casemiro clearly trying to keep his balance on the ramp by using Hughes neck. Totally understandable.

Fact is they picked a couple of frames because they wanted to send him off. If the ref sees the entire video he doesn’t get sent off. Ayew is a lot worse.

Im gunner, obviously happy. But I can’t see why he got red. Gloves are deceptive, bad choice of location where he is holding, but the gesture he makes to say, wait, calm down, looks like he is just trying to hold him back and defuse. can see them hug afterwards too.

You can tell Casemiro wasn’t doing that on purpose, neither was he grabbing him hard. You can literally see Casemiro releasing his hand trying to relax the player.

This was no way near a red card !!! The two players were not even fighting,Caseimiro was just trying to set Hughes out of the fight
