Lionel Messi PSG Shirt Used As Doormat In France

Lionel Messi has broken millions of hearts in France after the World Cup defeat and fans are expressing their anger and frustration towards the Argentine captain as his shirt has been used as a doormat for a pub in France.

Messi inflicted the damage on France during the final in Qatar on Sunday, scoring twice during the game and slotting home his penalty.

It left the world admiring the 35-year-old once again and believing that he’d basically completed football, with some even thinking it was time for him to just hang up his boots then and there.

However, the seven time Ballon d’Or winner isn’t even going to be stopping playing for Argentina, never mind that he’s got the rest of the season with PSG to finish.

Things could be a little frosty in Paris for the Argentina star, having broken the hearts of millions in the capital of the country he’s just beaten.

Of course he is going to have to face Kylian Mbappe, who he came up against in the final, as well as the rest of the squad and staff who are French.

But it’s the fans who will have to forgive Messi, and some of them are really trying to get their anger out of their system.

It all sounds a very cathartic experience and perhaps one bars in England should have tried with a Harry Kane shirt after his penalty miss against the French.

The whiteness of the PSG away kit, or the England home shirt if someone had done the same, really brings out the best in the idea.

It’s perfectly good banter by the bar to get ‘revenge’ on Messi, and at least he has been sleeping with the World Cup to make him feel better.

That’s unlike Mbappe, who is getting all sorts of abuse and all he did was become the first player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final whilst being on the losing side.

The Golden Boot winner hopefully hasn’t seen any footage of Argentina’s trophy parade, with fans burning a coffin that had the young forward’s face on it.

Emiliano Martinez, who was a saviour for Lionel Scaloni’s side in the penalty shootout with his ‘psychological warfare’ has also continued his sh*thousery.

The Aston Villa goalkeeper partied on the open-top bus whilst carrying a baby toy that had the Paris Saint Germain superstar’s face on it.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens when Messi and Mbappe are back together at the Parc des Princes.
