The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has appealed to the IGP to order the arrest of Adamawa Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Hudu Yunusa-Ari.

The controversial REC was criticised for announcing the winner of the Adamawa election while it was barely concluded. His decision drew condemnation from several observers and INEC was forced to suspend his dutied.

In a statement made available to reporters, INEC asked the IGP to make sure that Hudu Yunusa-Ari is arrested and investigated.
