Fernandez Contract Agreement With Chelsea & More Big Stories You Might’ve Missed

This is a round-up of some big transfer stories you may have missed about Enzo Fernandez‘s contract agreement with Chelsea, N’Golo Kante‘s contract talks, and how much Atletico wants to loan out Joao Felix.
Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez has an agreement over the personal terms of his contract with Chelsea, according to one of the most credible Argentinian sources TyC Sports reporter Gaston Edul.
The entourage of the 21-year-old is expecting the clubs to agree on the transfer now. It needs to be resolved in the coming days – or even hours, as the reporter claims.
The transfer is going to be worth around €120 million. River Plate, Fernandez’s previous club, should earn around €30 million in that case.

The key to the deal is having the payment structure agreed upon. Chelsea want to pay for the transfer in several instalments to comply with the Financial Fair Play.
Fabrizio Romano gives update on N’Golo Kante contract talks
According to Fabrizio Romano, N’Golo Kante is now as close to signing a new deal with Chelsea as to the summer exit as a free agent.
“Chelsea and N’Golo Kante are in talks on different terms for new contract, as current one expires in June. Situation has changed after slow negotiations in the last months,” he tweeted.
“Kante, open to discuss on salary as he loves the clubs and hopes to stay. It’s 50/50 situation now.”
For a long time, it was claimed that Kante was unhappy with the terms Chelsea put on the table. Now, it looks like he’s changing his mind.

One possible reason for that is lack of offers from other clubs who want to see Kante fully fit and back on the pitch before making him a big-money offer.
Revealed: how much Atletico want to loan out Joao Felix for 6 months
According to David Ornstein, Atletico Madrid want to receive around €21million (£18.6m) for a six-month loan for Joao Felix.
This would comprise a €15m loan fee plus €6m as the salary Felix is supposed to earn in that time.
Chelsea are looking closely at the Portugal international as they are looking to strengthen the attacking line.

His profile may not be ideal, though, as the Blues are looking for a penalty-box goalscorer.
Arsenal and Man United are also considering the 23-year-old after being approached by his agent Jorge Mendes. None of these clubs are willing to pursue the deal on Atletico’s terms.
