Declan Rice: West Ham Admit Defeat As Likely Transfer Winner From Arsenal, Chelsea And Man Utd Revealed

West Ham are reportedly resigned to losing star midfielder Declan Rice this summer to either Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, or Chelsea as the likely contenders to win the transfer race named.
Rice’s contract expires in June 2024, but he is said to be ready to compete for trophies and would welcome offers from top clubs.
However, West Ham have set a high asking price of £100m for the England international, who is widely regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.

Arsenal are said to be leading the race for Rice, as Mikel Arteta looks to sign at least one quality midfielder this summer.
While Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have been excellent for the Gunners this season, they will both be 30 by the start of next season, making Rice a more long-term option.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be interested in the midfielder, with Chelsea having a longstanding interest in the player and the financial backing to meet West Ham’s valuation.

Rice began his career at Chelsea and is said to prefer staying in London, which could make a move to Arsenal or Chelsea more likely.
Rice’s contract expires in June 2024 and West Ham have the option to trigger a one-year extension.
Nevertheless, the midfielder is ‘ready to compete for trophies.’ This is according to the Daily Mail, who claim West Ham will now ‘welcome’ offers and use that clause in negotiations by saying his contract is valid until 2025.
But, as mentioned, Rice won’t come cheap. Indeed, the London club have reportedly slapped a £100m valuation on their star man.
The England international has consistently proven he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League.

So, it’s expected someone will cough up that fee. Considering the Hammers’ poor form this term, it’s no real surprise Rice is looking to compete at a higher level next season..
However, West Ham are only willing to sell if the “right offer” arrives, and for now, Rice’s focus is on ending the season on a high with the Hammers, who are eyeing Europa Conference League success.
If they win the competition, it will be their first major trophy since 1980.
