Former Barcelona defender Dani Alves has opened up on his secret “love” for Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The two football giants have faced each other on numerous occasions when they were playing for Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Since then, Alves and Ronaldo have moved, with Alves currently playing football in Mexico for Universidad Nacional.

He said on the podcast: “I love Cristiano. Now that we’re no longer in Barcelona and Madrid, I can speak, because it always seemed like I couldn’t.”
