Expensive And Unhappy Chelsea Star Hell-Bent On Leaving The Club As He Takes Matters Into His Own Hand
A prominent source has confirmed that Chelsea is set to incur a substantial financial loss upon selling an underperforming attacker, while the player himself is determined to find a new club.
As Mauricio Pochettino prepares for a crucial summer transfer window, he aims to mold the Chelsea squad according to his vision.
With the Blues having spent over £600 million in the past two windows, the squad has become bloated with top-tier talents who are eager for more playing time.
Collaborating closely with sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, Pochettino intends to trim the squad.

This strategy serves two purposes: providing funds for his preferred signings without violating Financial Fair Play regulations and establishing a cohesive group of players who are content with occasional bench roles.
Multiple players appear poised to depart the West London club, including Edouard Mendy, Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, among others.
American winger Christian Pulisic could join the exodus from Chelsea. The 24-year-old arrived at the club in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £57.6 million, as reported by Sky Sports.

Pulisic’s arrival at Chelsea carried significant expectations following his impressive rise in Germany. However, he has struggled to replicate his Dortmund form while donning the Chelsea shirt.
During the current season, the forward managed just one goal and two assists in 30 appearances, partly due to injuries and stiff competition for places.
On May 31, ESPN reported that Chelsea would consider selling Pulisic for a mere £20 million this summer. The Athletic has now confirmed this figure, revealing a staggering loss of nearly £38 million for the club.
The Athletic’s report states that “Pulisic’s desire to find a new club is only matched by current employers Chelsea’s eagerness to sell him.” The 57-cap USA international is willing to accept a considerable pay cut in order to secure a move that would grant him a more prominent role.
According to Goal, Pulisic currently earns approximately £145,000 per week at Stamford Bridge. These wages, coupled with Chelsea’s previously high asking price, presented obstacles in the player’s previous attempts to depart. However, both parties have now adjusted their demands, paving the way for a potential transfer.

The Athletic reveals that Pulisic’s destination will either be within the Premier League or Serie A. Although specific Premier League clubs are not mentioned, previous reports have linked Manchester United, Arsenal, and Newcastle United with an interest in the player. In Italy, Juventus appears to be the frontrunner for his signature.
It will be intriguing to observe Pulisic’s performance should he secure a move in the near future. Regrettably for Chelsea fans, it would not come as a surprise if he thrived elsewhere.
A potential move to Juventus, for instance, would instantly elevate Pulisic’s status as one of the prominent attacking talents in their squad, providing him with more playing time. This opportunity could help him regain his confidence and potentially shine in Serie A.

Another factor to consider is the reduced fee of £20 million, which should alleviate pressure on Pulisic. It would grant him the freedom to play without immediate scrutiny as an expensive flop.
Injuries have undeniably hindered Pulisic’s progress at Chelsea. This is a crucial aspect that potential suitors such as Newcastle and Juventus must carefully evaluate before deciding to secure his services.
Meanwhile, Chelsea has received a boost in their pursuit of an Argentine international, as the player’s current club has become open to his potential departure.
