Chelsea‘s relentless pursuit of bolstering their squad continues as they aim to address their underwhelming performance this season.
Under the ownership of Todd Boehly, who took charge just a year ago, the Blues have spent a staggering £553 million on 17 players, including eight during the January transfer window.
Despite the substantial investments, Chelsea’s on-field performances have remained subpar, leading to the dismissals of Thomas Tuchel and subsequently his successor Graham Potter.

With their worst Premier League season in sight since 1996, the club faces the prospect of missing out on European football next season.
However, that hasn’t deterred Chelsea from identifying expensive targets for the upcoming campaign, with one name recently linked to Stamford Bridge after winning Serie A.

According to Italian media outlet Il Mattino, Chelsea has made an enquiry about Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and is contemplating a bid for the 22-year-old in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Henry and Carragher’s Praise for Napoli’s Striking Duo
Following Napoli’s 3-0 victory against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League Round of 16 in March, Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry discussed the prowess of Napoli’s strikeforce, particularly Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Carragher expressed his admiration, stating, “Kvaratskhelia, for me, is the most exciting player in Europe. I’m not saying he’s the best, but he’s emerged from nowhere. I believe he scored a goal at the weekend when he cut inside.”
Henry agreed, responding, “Yes. Osimhen gave him the ball. Those two, crazy.” He continued to praise Kvaratskhelia, highlighting his ability to press, hold the ball, and make incisive passes. Henry emphasized their strong understanding on the field, noting that Kvaratskhelia can keep up with Osimhen’s blistering pace, making them a formidable partnership.

Concerns for Mykhaylo Mudryk
While Nigerian forward Osimhen, who has scored 36 goals in all competitions this season, also attracts Chelsea’s interest, it is the reported links to Kvaratskhelia that may cause unease among the current crop of Blues players.
One player who could potentially feel threatened is Mykhaylo Mudryk, who joined Chelsea for a fee of £88 million in January.
Despite arriving with a growing reputation, Mudryk is yet to find the back of the net in his 15 appearances for the club.
The potential arrival of Kvaratskhelia could pose a direct challenge to Mudryk’s first-team opportunities, casting doubts on the Ukrainian’s decision to join Chelsea in the first place.
