Chelsea Dealt Major Blow As Transfer Target Agrees Deal To Join Premier League Rival

Chelsea has suffered a transfer blow as Croatia international, Ivan Perisic is closing in on a move to Premier League rival Tottenham.

Infoexpert24 reports that Tottenham manager, Antonio Conte, made Perisic one of his top targets after guiding Spurs to a top-four finish and agreeing to stay for at least one more season.

Perisic, who was a key part of Conte’s title-winning Inter Milan side in 2020-21, has decided to reunite with the Italian gaffer, agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with Tottenham.

Recall that the 33-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.

He is out of contract with Inter this summer and is yet to reach a new agreement with the club.

Perisic made more than 250 appearances for the Serie A giants and guided his country to reach the World Cup final in 2018.

As a result, Perisic has been in talks with Tottenham, Chelsea, and Juventus over a free transfer and is now set to sign for Conte’s men.
