Chelsea Could Raise £360m In 15 Players Clear-Out By Mauricio Pochettino

Chelsea’s recent ownership change has seen American billionaire Todd Boehly make substantial investments in player acquisitions, but a significant clear-out could now be on the horizon.
Since Boehly took over the reins at Stamford Bridge just over a year ago, the club has witnessed an extensive influx of talent, with a staggering £553m spent on 17 players.
However, after a disappointing season that saw the Blues finish 12th in the Premier League, the need to streamline the squad has become evident.

Graham Potter, Chelsea’s former manager had to contend with a training squad so large that practice matches had to be divided into two teams of 11 players and 9 players.
Even Thiago Silva admitted that the dressing room was becoming overcrowded, highlighting the necessity for a leaner squad.
As Boehly adjusts to the realities of English football, he must now address the surplus of players and capitalize on potential sales to continue investing in top talent.
Remarkably, Chelsea possesses several high-quality players who, if sold, could recoup over half of the initial expenditure, with Transfermarkt valuing the potential outgoings at £363m.

The list of potential departures includes up to 15 senior players, each contributing to the potential windfall. Mason Mount, the highly regarded English international, tops the “for sale” list with a valuation of £55.7m.
Mount has attracted interest from Manchester United and Liverpool, making his exit from Chelsea this summer increasingly likely.
Following closely in value is German forward Kai Havertz, priced at £51.4m. Another midfielder, Mateo Kovacic, is reportedly a target for Manchester City, and his departure could generate an additional £34m.
Romelu Lukaku, who spent the past season on loan at Inter Milan, could secure a permanent move, commanding a similar fee to Kovacic.

Similarly, loaned-out players such as Callum Hudson-Odoi and Conor Gallagher could fetch around £14.5m each. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, longing for more playing time, might raise £21.4m by seeking opportunities elsewhere.
Even former Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who Chelsea is willing to move on, could contribute £21.4m to the club’s coffers.
Goalkeepers Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga, who conceded a combined total of 47 league goals last season, could each generate £15.4m and £12.8m, respectively, if sold.
Trevoh Chalobah, who has been loaned out multiple times, might add £18.8m to the transfer funds, while long-serving captain Cesar Azpilicueta could bring in a tidy £6.8m.
Despite the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea struggled to find the net consistently last season, and the club might be willing to part ways with him for just under £6m.

Moroccan star Hakim Ziyech, who came close to leaving last season, could add another £15.4m to the transfer budget.
As Mauricio Pochettino assumes managerial responsibilities, ruthless decisions will need to be made in the coming months.
With Chelsea’s disappointing Premier League campaign fresh in their minds, this could be one of the most comprehensive squad overhauls ever witnessed in English football.
Chelsea’s potential squad clear-out presents a significant opportunity for the club to balance its books and restructure the team under new management.
The anticipated revenue from player sales could provide the necessary funds to continue pursuing top talents and bolster their chances of competing for major honors in the upcoming season.
