Casemiro Engages in Heated Argument with Bruno Fernandes Despite United’s Victory over Aston Villa
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro appeared to be angry with Bruno Fernandes following the club’s 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Although Fernandes scored the only goal of the game, his performance during the Premier League clash seemed to have irked his teammate.
After the match, Casemiro and Fernandes were seen having a heated exchange on the pitch, gesturing at each other with apparent disagreement.
United captain Harry Maguire intervened by saying something to Fernandes amid the argument. It is worth noting that the two players had a similar confrontation following United’s Carabao Cup final victory over Newcastle at Wembley.

Despite the incident, it was a good day for United as they are now nine points ahead of Tottenham in fourth place in the Premier League table ahead of Spurs’ clash with Liverpool later in the day.
The Red Devils are close to securing their return to the Champions League after failing to qualify for the competition under Ralf Rangnick last season.
Speaking after the game, Fernandes expressed his delight over the result, stating that the team always tries to win games, and it’s crucial for the club which is all about winning matches.
“We always do everything to win the game, not every time it is possible but the team always do everything to win the game,” said the midfielder.
“It’s always important because this club is about winning games.
“It doesn’t matter the opponent we play against, we knew we were playing against a good team who haven’t lost in 10 games who have good players and good patterns but we also knew that we are capable to do our job and win the game.
“We did what we were trained to do, we could have scored more goals but we are happy with the 1-0 and the three points.
“It’s really important for us to get top four and then we have to think about winning a trophy.
“So we have to find the energy and aim for the top four and the FA Cup.”

United boss Erik ten Hag also praised Fernandes for his goal adding that his side put in an impressive performance at Old Trafford, with good possession and pressing.
He highlighted Victor Lindelof’s brilliant performance and Fernandes’ contribution, stating that the plan was to play him from the right to make runs behind, and he executed it very well.
“A good three points but I think an impressive performance from Manchester United,” said the 53-year-old, whose side have now beaten Villa twice this season.
“We were magnificant on the ball, had good possesion and pressed well.
“In the second half you want to go 2-0 ahead but we didn’t so it’s always going to be a tough finish.
“[Victor Lindelof] played brilliant. He was totally in control in the area around [Ollie] Watkins.
“Bruno [Fernandes] had another great game. The plan was to play him from the right to make runs behind and he did that so well.
“I think our plan worked very well.
“We look from game to game and next we have Brighton so we need to work hard again. We need to show passion again and not worry about the table.
“We are totally in control [in the race for top four], it’s all about us and it’s in our hands.”
Looking ahead, ten Hag urged his team to continue working hard and showing passion in the next game against Brighton, as they are in control of the race for the top four, and it’s all about them.
