Requirements To Enter University In Nigeria 2022/2023
- For a start, you need to have at least 5 credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC or NECO) including English and, Mathematics not more than two (2) sittings. Although, some schools require One sitting.1. Admission into FULL-TIME undergraduate programs is ONLY through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).
2. Candidate must possess five (5) credits in O/Level or its equivalent as required by the Department of interest.
3. Candidates must obtain a minimum of 200 points in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Candidate’s details must have been forwarded to the University of Lagos by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
4. Candidate must sit for the University POST-UTME Screening and must obtain the required minimum score.
5. The University Admissions Office processes FULL-TIME admission into undergraduate programs ONLY. Admission into other programs like Foundation, Diploma, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), and Post-graduate, and evening programs are handled by other organs of the University.
6. Candidate must have reached the AGE of sixteen (16) by the 31st day of October in the year of admission.
If you are a direct entry candidate, having an upper credit in your A’level or First/second class degree in a related field can increase your chances of gaining admission in Nigeria.
A good JUPEB or IJMB result is an added advantage.
