Europa League: Arsenal Star Aubameyang Appologise To Fans After Wasting Scoring Chances Against Benfica

Arsenal striker Aubameyang has apologized for not scoring a clear-cut chance against Benfica . The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw but take a priceless away goal back to the Emirates.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang missed a couple of chances during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Benfica but the Gabonese striker has tendered his apologies to fans.
Arsenal should have buried the game but hold an away goal advantage going into the second leg at the Emirates. Hector Bellerin released a beautiful pass across to Aubameyang and all he needed to do was to apply a simple tap-in to put his side ahead in the 19th minute.
But the 31-year-old spurned the chance from close range which should have put Mikel Arteta’s side ahead.
Bukayo Saka also could find the back of the net after making a lovely move in the 18-yard box as his shot went just wide.
Benfica then scored through Pizzi from a penalty after a handball from Emile Smith Rowe before Saka leveled matters two minutes later with a simple finish from the six-yard box.
After the game Aubameyang posted on his Twitter handle: “We deserved better and i should Score couple goals today but still one Game to Go we keep going. Well done @BukayoSaka87.”

“He was at the end of the biggest chances that we had tonight.
“He was a real threat again that’s why we played him today against this opponent with the line that they proposed all the time.”
