Arsenal, Tottenham Battling To Sign Lyon Star Malo Gusto

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race for Lyon’s wonder-kid, Malo Gusto.
According to 90Min, the Gunners and Spurs are part of European elite clubs battling for the 19-year-old. Gusto established himself as Lyon’s starting right-back last season and has retained that role this year.
He only made his debut in January 2021 but is already gaining a reputation as one of the best young full-backs in Europe.
Arsenal and Tottenham are just two of the top clubs in pursuit of Malo, however, as well as the Gunners and Spurs, Chelsea and Manchester City scouts have apparently been tasked with compiling reports on Gusto in recent weeks.
In addition, Barcelona and Manchester United have reportedly been eyeing the France Under-21 international for much of 2022.
Apparently, both made inquiries in the summer, and the likes of Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, and Juventus have reportedly also joined the race for Gusto.
The teenager’s Lyon contract runs until 2024, but the club is apparently ready to reward him with a new deal.

How good is Malo Gusto?
Lyon is one of the biggest football clubs in French football, and for a 19-year-old to come into it and perform straightaway shows his confidence, He is also one of the few players who can come out with his head held high after the catastrophic season.
This means that Lyon can build a team to which Malo Gusto will be integral. The last time Lyon had a golden generation, they won the Ligue 1 in 2007-08; this generation could repeat that.
So, we can expect Malo Gusto to keep his rise and Lyon to form another crop of players who can dominate the football world if Lyon manages to keep him away from the hands of European elites.
