Arsenal Set To Hijack Chelsea Target, Prepare £75m Bid As Club Change Transfer Stance

Arsenal is reportedly preparing a substantial £75 million offer to hijack and secure the services of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo according to reports.
The Gunners, under the management of Mikel Arteta, are keen on bolstering their squad with a new central midfielder this summer especially with the potential departure of Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen looming on the horizon.
While West Ham captain Declan Rice remains a priority target for Arsenal, the club is reigniting its pursuit of Caicedo.

In the previous January transfer window, Arsenal’s multiple offers for the midfielder were rejected by Brighton, who were resolute in their decision not to sell.
However, recent reports from LondonWorld suggest that Arsenal is preparing to make a renewed offer, similar to the £75 million bid that Brighton turned down earlier this year.
The club’s stance has seemingly softened since January, and they are now open to negotiating with Arsenal after making a promise to Caicedo, the Ecuadorian international.

Speaking last month, Caicedo’s agent, Manuel Sierra, made it clear that Arsenal would be an attractive destination for the midfielder.
‘Arsenal is a great team for everyone; let’s see what happens in the summer, there are many clubs keen on Moises,’ Sierra told Arsenalinformer. ‘Moises has four years left on his contract. He’s having an incredible season, so it’s normal that there are many clubs interested in him.’
With four years remaining on his contract, Caicedo has been enjoying a remarkable season, attracting interest from numerous clubs.
Chelsea is also reportedly considering a move for Caicedo, particularly after losing out to Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Manuel Ugarte from Sporting. This intensifies the competition for the talented midfielder’s signature.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of Declan Rice has received a boost as West Ham chairman David Sullivan confirmed that the midfielder will be sold this summer.
Rice played a crucial role in helping West Ham win the Europa Conference League, and the club has promised him a departure. Sullivan emphasized Rice’s commitment and acknowledged that they must find suitable replacements.
“We offered him £200,000-a-week 18 months ago. He turned it down,” Sullivan revealed in an interview with talkSPORT. “It’s cost him £10 million to stay at West Ham in that time [in lost wages]. And he wants to go. You can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to be there.”
As Arsenal prepares its bid for Caicedo and keeps a close eye on the Rice situation, the summer transfer window promises to be an intriguing period for the Gunners as they look to strengthen their midfield options for the upcoming season.
