Arsenal, Man Utd And Liverpool In Bidding War With Barcelona For Top Premier League Star

Battle of the Titans ahead of summer transfer as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for Portuguese midfielder, Ruben Neves, who is also on Barcelona‘s target list.
The 26-year-old has made 32 appearances in the Premier League for Wolves this season, scoring six goals and making one assist. He has a reputation for scoring screamers on occasion, which would be a valuable asset for any team.

Wolves captain Neves has refused to sign a contract extension at Molineux, and with his deal set to expire in June 2024, Wolves will likely sell him this summer to ensure they don’t lose him on a free transfer.
They are reportedly looking for a fee in the region of £40m for the midfielder.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal are all considering making a move for Neves this summer.
They note Barcelona are also in the race. But, given the Spanish club’s ongoing financial issues, it’s unclear whether they can afford his £40m price tag.

Erik ten Hag is believed to be keen to bring in a new midfielder this summer. Indeed, Man Utd could certainly do with some quality support for Casemiro.
Scott McTominay has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford recently, too. With that in mind, Neves would arguably be a big upgrade on McTominay, so signing him would make sense for the Red Devils.
However, with Barcelona also in the race, it’s unclear whether they can afford his £40m price tag given their ongoing financial issues.

Man Utd could certainly use some quality support for Casemiro, and Neves would be a big upgrade on Scott McTominay.
Liverpool are desperate for midfield reinforcements, with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner all set to depart Anfield at the end of the season, while Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are past their prime.
Brighton star Alexis Mac Allister looks to be heading to Liverpool this summer, but a move for Neves would also make sense.

Arsenal’s Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have been excellent this season, but there are concerns over whether they can compete at the highest level for much longer.
Partey, in particular, is fairly injury prone. Signing Neves could be a great bit of business for the Gunners.
The race for Neves is expected to be a real fight this summer, with no clear front-runner at this stage. Whichever team ends up winning the race for his signature, it’s clear that Neves has the quality to be a top player in the Premier League.
