Arsenal Could Regret Granit Xhaka Transfer Decision Amid Declan Rice Pursuit

Arsenal is willing to listen to offers for central midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer, along with Kieran Tierney and Folarin Balogun According to The Daily Mail.
Arteta is reportedly looking to raise funds for incomings ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, and West Ham United captain Declan Rice is the primary target for the summer window.
However, allowing Xhaka to depart does not make any sense for the Gunners as he is a nailed-on starter for a multitude of reasons.

His passing ability helps his side progress the ball at an elite rate, and he also excels off the ball in winning duels, second balls, and 50-50s.
Furthermore, Xhaka has made considerable improvements to his game at the age of 30 this season. He has netted five Premier League goals this term and provided a further five assists, which is by far his most in an Arsenal shirt.
The fact that he has taken to this role so well shows that he can improve even more in other areas despite his age.

In addition, Xhaka’s leadership ability will be needed next season as the Gunners return to the Champions League for the first time since 2017.
He is the skipper for the Switzerland national team and one of the few players in the squad that have played at that level before.
While an addition like Rice certainly makes sense, getting rid of Xhaka would undoubtedly be a mistake as his qualities on and off the pitch will be needed.
This summer is the time to add to what Arsenal achieved this season, not take away from it.
