Arsenal And Chelsea Are ‘Tracking Everton Star Who Pochettino See As Potential Partner For Enzo Fernandez

Premier League giants Chelsea and Arsenal are closely monitoring the situation of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as the summer transfer window unfolds.
The 21-year-old midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in January, but ultimately remained at Goodison Park and played a key role in helping Everton narrowly avoid relegation on the final day of the Premier League season.
However, Onana is reportedly eager to leave Everton this summer in search of a club competing at the higher end of the table.
According to Football.london, Chelsea is prepared to revive their interest in securing Onana’s signature as they undergo a major midfield overhaul following their disappointing season.
With N’Golo Kante having already departed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, and Mateo Kovacic on the verge of joining Manchester City, Chelsea’s new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, is said to view Onana as a potential midfield partner for Enzo Fernandez.
Nevertheless, the Blues might face competition from London rivals Arsenal, who are also seeking to strengthen their midfield options in the current transfer window.

The future of both Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey at the Emirates Stadium remains uncertain, making midfield reinforcements a priority for Arsenal and manager Mikel Arteta.
While Arsenal is close to finalizing a deal to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea, with plans to deploy him in midfield, they have faced two rejections in their attempts to secure the services of West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
It is worth noting that Manchester City has recently entered the race for Rice as well, dealing a blow to Arsenal’s pursuit of the England international.

Onana joined Everton from Lille just last summer and made 35 appearances across all competitions in his debut season with the club.
Everton is reportedly seeking a significant profit if they decide to sell the talented Belgian midfielder, with a price tag of £55 million being mentioned, one year after signing him for a deal that could rise to £33 million.
In addition to Chelsea and Arsenal, Manchester United has also shown interest in Onana and could reignite their pursuit if the Senegal-born midfielder becomes available in the transfer market.
